The Pouring Out

Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

What a great time to be alive. The Lord is moving in amazing ways a month the chaos that is flooding our world. We are choosing to look at what God is doing. We are seeing Ezekiel 36:26 fulfilled over and over in Mexico as God moves on people transforming their hearts. Turning their hearts of stone into hearts of flesh on fire with Him. We have received reports from all over the world that many people had an outpouring on Pentecost Sunday and we Praise God for that.

This past month has been full of watching God move in miraculous ways on the mission field in Mexico. It has also been a month of some hardships. Life on the field can be challenging but is worth every sacrifice. Most days the past month have been triple digits. But, even in tremendous heat God continues to save, heal and deliver people in the refugee camps as we go in. This is a picture from a Haitian refugee camp we work with weekly. Right now, we are in 3 different camps in Juárez, Mexico on a weekly basis. Having Gospel meetings, children's programs and bringing needed resources such as food, clothing and medicine.

Our work in Mexico is mainly in 3 areas: refugees, trafficked victims, Tarahumara Indians, training and counseling leaders. We started receiving short term teams and would love for you to consider coming and joining the work with us. You can go to our website to learn more about short term trips.

We continue to see God pour out His Spirit at our monthly block parties. The purpose of these parties is to minister to women and children caught in sex trafficking as well as those living on the streets. This month several women being trafficked and men living on the streets were saved. We are believing for a transformation in Juarez, Mexico. That it would be known for revival fire and no longer as one of the most dangerous cities on Earth. The people on these streets have life stories of pain and suffering most could not even imagine. Many of the girls here were sold by their parents to traffickers because there was no money to feed them. They are sold as young as 3 and 4 years old into the sex trade. Some days are discouraging for every person we help. There are a thousand more we didn’t help. Pray for us not only for protection for our bodies but that we guard our hearts. That everyday no matter how hard we continually remember our hope in Christ. Situations when living on the field full time are emotionally draining at times. There is no way we could do what we do in our own strength. We are forever thankful and humbled that the Lord is so gracious to us.  That He is always with us even in the darkest of places. We believe we have a mandate out of Proverbs 31 to give a voice to the voiceless. Those that cannot speak for themselves.

There was a poll done by Barna research. They ask churchgoers “Have you ever heard of the Great Commision?” Their answers were astonishing. 51% had never heard. This is a hard truth that we fully believe. Since being on the field full time our monthly support has dropped. Many don't see or understand the need in missions. This quote is so powerful “Go ye’ is as much a part of Christ’s Gospel as ‘Come unto Me.’ You are not even a Christian until you have honestly faced your responsibility in regard to the carrying of the Gospel to the ends of the earth.” – J. Stuart Holden

The need on the field is almost too great to put into words. We know that Jesus is the answer. Getting to the 3 billion people who have never heard the name of Jesus even once and sharing the hope of the Gospel with them. Seeing their lives and generations transformed by the power of the cross.

The Great Commision is the purpose of the Body of Christ. All are called to be involved in infusing the Earth with the Gospel. Some Go, some sow and all pray. The outpouring we are seeing in the lives of people takes the body. We can’t do what we do without the continued prayer and financial support of the Body of Christ. We ask that you pray and see how the Lord leads you to partner with us.  As we do our part in fulfilling Matthew 28   18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

May the Lord Bless and keep you. May you experience an outpouring of His Spirit in the season like never before. May the prodigals in your life return home. Many you walk in health and wholeness with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessings, Jeremy and Lisa

Jeremy is currently back in the 10/40 window ministering. The 10/40 Window is the rectangular area of North Africa, the Middle East and Asia approximately between 10 degrees north and 40 degrees north latitude. The 10/40 Window is often called "The Resistant Belt" and includes the majority of the world's Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists. Approximately 5.33 billion individuals residing in 8,731 distinct people groups are in the revised 10/40 Window. 6,013 (68.9%) of these people groups are considered unreached and have a population of 3.28 billion. This means approximately 62% of the individuals in the 10/40 Window live in an unreached people group. The 10/40 Window is home to some of the largest unreached people groups in the world. During Jeremy's last 10/40 ministry trip he ministered in 11 countries over the span of 3 months. While in India God's glory poured out His love flowing transforming souls in a tangible way. The greatest miracle of salvations happened during this trip. We expect God to heal, save and deliver. We have had the honor to witness miracles around the world, but this was different. A whole village came to the Lord!! Yes, you read that correctly. A whole village said yes to Jesus. We had never seen this happen. From the chief of the village to the youngest villager all embracing the love and salvation of Jesus. In a little tutu car Jeremy and another pastor travelled up the mountain in the jungle area of India. There was a warning from their driver they would need to be down the mountain before dark. These little taxi cars go slowly and have no doors etc. Like in many parts of India tigers are an issue in that area. Villages are in different areas all up the mountain side. The sight and sounds of animal sacrifice along with chanting filled the air as the travelled. India is a dangerous place to be a Christian. According to world population it is in the top 10 most dangerous in the world. India is a restricted nation. The "restricted nation" title is typically reserved for countries with federal laws explicitly restricting Christian worship and evangelism. Christians make up only 2.4% of India. Most are Hindu and Muslim. Religious conversion is very rare in India. Pew research reports that only 0.4% of Hindus ever convert to Christianity. So, you see the magnitude of the miracle of a whole village saying yes. Jeremy and the Pastor ministering tested to make sure the village was not just willing to add Jesus to their other gods. In Hinduism many gods are served. They asked and led them through denouncing all other gods and receiving salvation through Christ. Deuteronomy 6:14: " Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you; Acts 4: 12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” We cannot wait to see what an impact this will have. How for generations now these people's lives are transformed forever. The trauma of the cultural practices of abuse and sacrifice stopped. The fact that even though hard times will still come. That persecution is a reality they now have access to the one who sticks closer than a brother. The one who heals, saves, delivers and gives life. Only once in eternity will truly be able to see and grasp the magnitude of all God has done. This story was just a short glimpse of a three-month trip. I'm humbled as I think back over the last two decades. The ministry around the globe all God has done. I wish I could share every story, every face every precious moment. It brings to mind the scripture in John 21:25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. Even though we have seen and done I still feel we are just on the brink. Like there is so much more to see and do. Every day is a new day a new chance to share God's love for His creation. Jeremy and I are humbled at the things God has allowed us to be a part of. We are thankful for every opportunity to share His glory. There is always more, a chance to grow deeper and we are going after it. Whatever you do never stop sharing the Gospel from your family to your marketplace to the world. The benefits are eternal. “I believe that in each generation God has called enough men and women to evangelize all the yet unreached tribes of the earth. It is not God who does not call. It is man who will not respond!” – Isobel Kuhn, missionary to China and Thailand

Those who don't quit win! Seems self-explanatory and simple enough. Jeremy and I recently celebrated one year as full-time missionaries to Mexico. Transitioning from short term missions to living on the field has brough joy and pain, laughter and sorrow. Moments so beautiful tears fall like prayers. Moments so heartbreaking no words can express. We have come to understand fully the reality of Hudson Taylors quote “When I cannot read when I cannot think when I cannot even pray, I can trust.” A couple of weeks ago as a fellow missionary to Mexico prayed with us he kept saying "Those Who Don't Quit Win." He knows all too well the harsh reality of what Mexico missions brings. There are things that happen in this land that are so un-just. There is but one hope, one name, one answer to the problem JESUS. Jesus is the hope for Mexico and every nation. Here there always seems to be a need for more hands, more money, more time, more strength. We are encouraged by sitting before the Lord. He is the God of the more. Our total dependance is upon Him. We know if He doesn't show up, doesn't provide, doesn't move it will not happen. We have found ourselves in a place of total dependence and it's a beautifully broken place. The last year we have seen human suffering on a level I could not have imagined. Heard stories so terrible we could not share because the burden is too heavy for most to bear. But, in the midst of all of this we have seen the hand of God move. Miracles, signs and wonders, salvations on mass levels. The transforming power of the Gospel sweeping in to a dry a weary land. A year ago, when we embarked toward full time Mexico Missions God had given us a vision. We will run with the vision. Pioneering on toward the calling in our hearts for the people and the land of Mexico. Taking Jesus to the hard places, the dry places, the desperate places. Knowing we have the answer in the Great I AM. He is the hope for Mexico. So today if God has given you a vision PRESS, PRESS, PRESS keep pressing forward. Psalm 27:13-14, MSG Stay with God! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with God. Those Who Don't Quit Win. Jesus has already won the battle for us. Stay the course.
